Nowhere to Go, No End in Sight by Hannah Ottman

Nowhere to Go, No End in Sight is a photographic book that explores an alternative perspective of “youth culture” taking place in the middle of a pandemic. Being at an age where we’re told to enjoy our twenties and make memories has become a challenge as myself and my two roommates are either at-risk persons or have connections to those that are. In order to keep ourselves and the ones we hold close safe from Covid-19, we are left with no other choice but to create physical distance between ourselves and those outside of our basement bubble. This photobook is a visual documentation of my roommates Christina and Billie from the beginning of September 2020, to the end of October 2020. This is significantly the first two months all three of us began living together. I hope that this photobook grants the audience insight into the simplistic lifestyle we created for ourselves in order to safely outlast the pandemic. The outbreak of Coronavirus has consequently left us with nowhere to go - however, we are managing to find a source of light and security within each other and the basement we live in - despite no end in sight.
