Chip Lei, Where Are We Headed?, 8x10 in, 2024
Chip Lei is a Canadian-born Chinese artist from Vancouver who fell in love with photography in high school. Since moving to Toronto to study at Toronto Metropolitan University, they have found a passion for conceptual and artistic photography, as well in cinematography in both film and photographic mediums. Outside of lens-based art, they spend a good chunk of their time drawing, laying in bed, playing Fortnite and kissing their cat, Miko.
Artspace TMU presents our fourth annual fundraiser to support our BIPOC Artist Fund. This year, we’ve collaborated with 10 amazing BIPOC students and alumni from The Creative School to release special edition prints for sale!
The BIPOC Artist Fund provides financial support to BIPOC artists who will exhibit with the gallery. The money can be used at the artists’ discretion to realize ambitious projects and cover exhibition costs like printing and framing. 100% of sales goes directly to our artists.
A special thank you to Smokestack Studio for generously donating their time & printing services, making the fourth BIPOC Artist Fund possible.
