Nuclear Topographies, a group exhibition with photographs from Blake Fitzpatrick, Avery Nielsen-Webb, and Logan Rayment explores the ever-lasting radioactive histories of nuclear industrialism within North America. Within the genre of the landscape, the photographers examine existing nuclear plants and the historical evidence of uranium mining and refining across three sites to interpret the devastating effects on personal health and on the environment.

While the effects of the nuclear industry are visible, invisible radioactivity will continue to last for thousands of years. For example, the half-life of plutonium is 24,000 years, over 18,000 years longer than written language has existed. As a second nuclear age dawns, documenting the topography of a nuclear environment makes visible the deadly and never-ending consequences of nuclearism.
