Growing Pains by Kelsey Myler

Growing Pains depicts my relationship with myself, perhaps the most important relationship a human has. This series stands as an ode to my roots and my home, Newfoundland, as well as, an exploration of new beginnings, vulnerability and comfortability. During this period of quarantine, I have introspectively explored the beauty and discomforts that this lifelong journey has brought me thus far. With the recurrent use of objects from my home and simple motifs such as eggs, light, flowers and an uprooted plant in different states, I depict a simple narrative revealing the ebb and flow of my human experience.
