Glass Mountains by Angel Avramidis

Glass Mountains is an investigation of glass structures around Downtown Toronto and North York, two areas I have spent most of my time in during the process of photographing the contents of this book. The images in Glass Mountains were taken over three years, from 2018 to 2020. They focus mainly on the elements and principles of design prominent in the glass buildings that scatter our city; line, form, texture, balance, pattern, and movement are each significant aspects of the collection as a whole. Through the creation of this project, I found that I really enjoy shooting manmade structures, especially those made of glass. There is something so clean and perfect about these carefully constructed buildings which fascinate me. I would love for this photobook to show others the beauty that I see in the glass mountains we pass every day on the street.
