The First Edition Photobook Exhibition is an annual exhibition which features the works of third­ year photography students from Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Image Arts. The exhibition is an opportunity to engage with the work of talented emerging photographers as they begin their careers. Working within the medium of photobooks, this year’s students explore their relationships to narrative, mapping, archives, contemporary portraiture, shifting landscapes and more.

We are excited to announce that the university Library’s Special Collections Department is adjudicating the First Edition Photobook Award, generously sponsored by the Photographic Historical Society of Canada. The award is an exciting opportunity for students to have their photobook purchased and archived in the university’s Special Collections department
