The First Edition Photobook Exhibition is a collaborative annual exhibition that features the work of third year photography students from X University’s School of Image Arts.
The exhibition is an opportunity to engage with the work of talented emerging photographers as they begin their careers. Working within the medium of photobooks, this year's students explore their relationships to narrative mapping, archives, contemporary portraiture, rapidly shifting landscapes, and more.
We are excited to announce that the university Library's Special Collections Department will once again be sponsoring the First Edition Photobook Award. The award is an exciting opportunity for students to have their photobook purchased and archived by the university’s Library Special Collections department.
**Please note, Artspace Gallery will be open to the public in accordance with provincial health regulations. We are planning to have the exhibition open to the public from Feb 2, however we are making plans to make the exhibition available online in the unfortunate event that the lockdown is extended.
